Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Provide Life Skills Coaching Services to Iowa licensed family foster homes through specialized training for the purpose of providing individualized services to JCS clients in foster care to successfully increase the desired outcomes of maintaining the client in a less restrictive environment and to keep them from entering deeper into the juvenile justice system. Any contract DHS has with a provider(s) around family foster care and the provisions contained in that contract remain in effect and is primary in nature. 2. Provide a minimum of 20 hours of life skills training that will address the needs of the JCS client. It is the recommendation of JCS that training may include but not limited to: Motivational Interviewing (MI I & II), Aggression Replacement Training (ART), TruThought, EPICS for Influencers, Trauma Informed Care, Evidence based practices as well as training on brain development research and JCS practices and policies.
