Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.3.1 Step #1: Residential or Commercial Structure (detached accessory structures listed separately below) Assessment and Testing - Initial assessment, testing for all suspect asbestos containing building materials, identifying and categorizing all hazardous household wastes and any other hazardous waste identification as specified in this RFP. This includes HHW hazards sampled on the property outside of the structures including light fixtures, signs and other suspect materials. HAZCAT inspections are not required. This step is to be priced by the square foot. The initial report shall be made available to the City within 20 business days. 4.3.2 Step #2: Residential or Commercial Structure (detached accessory structures listed separately below) Pre-Remediation Visual Inspection – Prior to asbestos remediation efforts, the Consultant shall conduct a visual inspection to ensure all required engineering controls have been established and are in working order. A pre-abatement checklist shall be completed and signed-off on by both the Assessment Consultant and Remediation Contractor prior to abatement. This may include two trips; (1) To verify quantities with the Remediation Contractor and (2) To ensure engineering controls are in place prior to abatement. If a second trip is required, no additional charges are allowed for this step. This step is to be priced by the square foot.
