Specifications include, but are not limited to: • The contractor shall be able to provide services within 3 to 5 working days from the Department’s request (responsive service includes project review, budget submittal, and scheduling). • Prior to removal of any material, notification must be made to any individual responsible for said material in accordance with Iowa Code section 318.5. Notification should be made at least forty-eight-hours in advance of material removal or earlier per any applicable city ordinance. Contractor should provide documentation to the Iowa DOT of means and date of notification. Notification may be made by any reasonable means deemed appropriate by the contractor in accordance with Iowa Code section 318.5, and can be performed by the contractor, city personnel, or other local social service agencies. When deemed necessary by the contractor, local law enforcement may be contacted to facilitate removal of materials. • Clean-up duties shall include but is not limited to surveying sites, collecting debris/trash, removal of debris/trash and removal of any biohazards or waste material. Disposal shall follow all pertinent Federal and State regulations and shall occur at permitted disposal facilities.
