Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Site evaluations in conjunction with DAS staff for proposed project. 2. Provide code evaluation confirming ADA requirements, if any, of each restroom to be upgraded. 3. Patient restrooms are to be upgraded with anti-ligature fixtures, accessories, ceilings, walls, etc. to ensure the restrooms are safeguarded against ligature. 4. At a minimum design for the following upgrades in fifteen restrooms. Note that all scope items are not relevant to all restrooms. Add new walls to eliminate ‘blind corners’ at bathroom entrances. At same restrooms add new entrance door/frame in existing hallway wall. Remove existing windows, infill with CMU/brick to match existing materials Remove existing floor tile, replace with epoxy floor and base Remove existing acoustical ceilings, replace with drywall ceilings Evaluation of existing radiators and exhaust fans Remove and replace existing sinks and toilets Paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors and frames Replace existing door hardware with anti-ligature hardware Remove surface mounted electrical, replace with in-wall electrical Remove existing partial height screen wall, replace with full height CMU wall Remove existing showers, replace with ADA accessible shower pans and tile walls. Remove and replace existing ceiling access panels New drywall enclosure around exposed pipes
