Specifications include, but are not limited to: Each biosafety cabinet used on campus must be certified annually with no more than a 30-day lapse of certification status. Biosafety cabinets located within cleanrooms must be certified every six (6) months. Supplier will schedule and work directly with biosafety cabinet owner(s) for needed services. Every biosafety cabinet must be certified according to the NSF/ANSI 49-2014 Class II (Laminar Flow) Biosafety Cabinetry Annex F, or current NSF Standard 49. Upon successful certification, a certification tag must be placed on each cabinet indicating the date the biosafety cabinet was certified and the name and company of the certifier. For cabinets still under manufacturer's warranty, the certifier will work directly with the manufacturer, and will be compensated by the manufacturer for work completed.
