Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified vendors to lease/rent eight (8) 2-1/2 Cubic Yard Articulating Wheel Loaders to be used by the Streets and Parking Divisions for snow removal per the terms and conditions and minimum specifications described herein. All transportation, installation and delivery charges shall be included in the bid price. 1. The City of Iowa City intends to lease/rent eight (8) wheel loaders from approximately November 15, 2021 to March 31, 2022. Preference is for all wheel loaders to be of the same make. 2. Each loader is not anticipated to be used for more than 400 hours during the rental period. 3. All major maintenance on the units shall be performed by the owner and all minor maintenance (lube, oil, filter changes, bulbs, etc.) shall be performed by the City during the rental period. 4. Major part orders and repairs shall be completed within 72 hours of notification from the City. 5. Preference is for new or low-hour, rubber tired 2- 1/2 cubic yard wheel loaders, with a minimum of 145 net horsepower. 6. All tires shall have a minimum of 50% tread depth as compared to new tires.
