Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The City of Iowa City intends to lease/rent eight (8) wheel loaders from approximately November 15, 2020 to March 31, 2021. Preference would be for all wheel loaders to be of the same make. 2. Each loader is not anticipated to be used for more than 400 hours during the rental period. 3. All major maintenance on the units shall be performed by the owner and all minor maintenance (lube, oil, filter changes, bulbs, etc.) shall be performed by the City during the rental period. 4. Major part orders and repairs shall be completed within 72 hours of notification from the City. 5. Preference is for new or low hour limited slip fourwheel drive, rubber tired 2-1/2 cubic yard wheel loaders, with a minimum of 145 net horsepower. 6. Units shall have enclosed ROPS cab, power shift transmission, four-wheel drive and limited slip. 7. Units shall be equipped with factory “Ride Control” system. 8. Units shall be equipped with American Coupler System Series 2000 #30 mounting system. (no substitutions). Coupler system must be compatible with the City-owned snow blades. 9. Units shall be equipped with a cab-mounted amber warning beacon or strobe lights. 10. Shall have heavy-duty, fully adjustable air suspension seat; 35,000 BTU minimum, high output heater; front and rear window defroster/fans; front and rear window wipers; rear counter weights; fenders; bucket levers; boom kick outs, AM/FM radio, 110V engine block heater and engine high temperature and low oil level warning system. Rear view camera is preferred.
