Scope of Auction Services Respondent shall include in the Proposal their process for handling vehicles from the point that a pick-up notice has been communicated through final reconciliation per the specifications listed in this Section 4.1. 4.1.1 Auction Bidders Respondent will provide auction services which allow the general public to bid on and be able to purchase the State’s vehicles. Participation in the auction activities cannot be limited to certain parties or entities such as dealers only. 4.1.2 Action Advertising All sales shall be well advertised to attract as many bidders as possible. Respondent will take all vehicle pictures and ensure they are displayed on their website in order to give potential buyers ample time to review. Respondent’s website shall provide for online bidding as well as bidding in person. Respondent will respond to all inquiries from potential buyers regarding vehicles from time of pick up through time of sale. 4.1.3 Action Location The auction services shall occur in Iowa at the same location, to prevent potential bidders from becoming confused, and on a regularly scheduled basis. Include a list of your physical locations within the state of Iowa in the Proposal. 4.1.4 Minimum Price DAS Fleet Services reserves the right to specify a minimum price of “reserve” for all vehicles auctioned. If this amount is not met, the vehicle will run again at a later auction. The successful Respondent and DAS Fleet Services may discuss changing the specified minimum price.
