Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Transportation of UIHC patients and their families in the State of Iowa. This includes but is not limited to transportation between UIHC and local hotels or other locations in or near Iowa City. 2. Transportation of blood and blood products between UIHC and terminal facilities located in the State of Iowa. This service may be required at times outside normal terminal operating hours. 3. Transportation of human tissue (i.e. corneal tissue for Iowa Lion’s Bank) between UIHC or Lions Eye Bank and Iowa City or Cedar Rapids airport terminals, hospitals and surgery centers. 4. Transportation of pharmaceuticals between UIHC and terminal facilities in the State of Iowa. 5. Other miscellaneous transportation and/or deliveries, typically within a 400 mile radius of UIHC (but sometimes farther). Services may be requested at any time of day, 24/7, 365 days per year.
