1. Removal of all antennas, antenna mounts, and cabling. This includes any of the safety fall equipment on the tower. All antennas, mounts, and cabling will be placed on the ground, in an orderly pile. The DOT Garage will safely dispose of the antennas, Mounts, and cabling. The local garage staff will safely crush and dispose of the tower as scrap metal. All utilities should be disconnected. 2. Tower sections will be laid on the ground as directed by the project leader from the Iowa DOT. 3. Cost of rented or contracted work by a third party is the responsibility of the tower contractor. 4. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining all permits from State, County, City, and Union Pacific. The contractor is responsible to purchase and pay any costs for these permits. Contractor is required to work with and follow all the requirements working with Union Pacific Railroad. Contractor will work within the requirements for removal next to Union Pacific Railroad. 5. Attached is the plans for the tower, Rohn-Radian 12-N, 11-N, 10-N, 9-N, 8-N, 7-N, 6- STRAIGHT, tower sections. 6. The DOT requests the Disassembly, by section, of the tower by a tower contractor. Each section will be placed on the ground. 7. The contractor is not responsible for removal of the concrete piers. 8. Contractor tower workers are required to be Certified Tower Workers. Minimum requirements are a Telecommunications Tower Technician, (or equivalent), and certified and /or accredited by the National Association of Tower Erectors, (NATE), or equivalent. (NATE is the leading authority in the telecommunications industry and sets the standards for tower climbing and safety.) Contractor will provide proof of current Tower Climbing Certificates and any other safety, OSHA, and other credentials, at the time of bid.
