Specifications include, but are not limited to: Repointing of brick, block, stone, terra cotta, glazed tile, and other masonry materials noted in the Facilities Design Manual. Must be able to use grinding tools and any tool normally associated with repointing work and which is normally performed by a mason. Must be able to mix and match mortars to existing mortar materials and colors. Work will be performed inside and outside of facilities. Workmen must be able to use and install all safety equipment required by OSHA to perform this Work. Must be able to build swing stage, scaffolding, and operate mechanical lifts in accordance with OSHA Standards. ii. Masonry Repair and Replacement Contractor to be experienced in repairing, toothing, and replacement of various masonry materials as noted in the Facilities Design Manual. iii. Waterproofing of Masonry and Concrete Contractor to be able to use one and two part fluid applied waterproofing agents in accordance with manufacturer’s directions, following procedures specified in the Facilities Design Manual, and protecting the environment and surrounding facilities. Installer’s certification from material manufacturer and previous experience using these products is required.
