RIVERFRONT IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION – FREIGHT HOUSE AND UNION STATION Freight House clearing should be completed by 8:00 AM after a snow event. There are businesses that operate at this location. If snow occurs during the day, a staff representative will reach out about a clearing schedule prior to services needed. All snow removal on a deck surface must be completed with plastic shovels; no metal shovels/tools are to be used on any desk surface area. ALTERNATE – The eastern most section of the Florian Keen Parking Lot (Modern Woodmen Park’s Parking Lot), to be cleared at the direction of the Riverfront Improvement Commission Representative. (This is for Freight House Farmer’s Market days, if needed.) CITIBUS TRANSIT SHELTERS AND SIDEWALK LOCATIONS The inside of the shelter must be cleaned and a 5’ radius around the shelter or the complete shelter pad if smaller. A 3-foot-wide clearance to the street at each bus shelter must be maintained. Passengers need to walk from the bus shelter to a vehicle parked on the street. There must be enough clearance for a wheelchair. Clearing of street plowing wind-rows must be at least 3 feet wide at the curb. Clearing should NOT be performed during the overnight hours. However, shelters should be cleared prior to the bus routes start times each morning, if a 2” snow and/or any ice event occurred during the night.
