Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Davenport, Iowa is accepting bids for snow removal services, specifically snow hauling, for the upcoming winter season. All work shall be done in strict accordance with these specifications. he Street Maintenance Division requires assistance with snow removal operations. This service is for hauling snow from the downtown area and other areas as directed. Tandem axle dump trucks are required to be used for this service. WORKING DAYS: Work under this contract may be required at any time: on regular working days (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday after regular hours, on weekends or holidays. Once commenced, work shall continue until notified to cease by the Public Works Operations Manager or his designee, with no stoppage of work except for mechanical breakdowns. The Contractor shall notify City staff immediately if a breakdown occurs. NOTIFICATION: Contractors will be notified by telephone by the Public Works Operations Manager or his designee when service is required. Contractors shall provide a contact person’s name and phone number who may be contacted at any time (24 hours/day; 7 days/week) when service is required. Contractors must respond via phone within 30 minutes of the initial call.
