Specifications include, but are not limited to: This is a request for pricing for approximately 180,000 gallons of liquid de-icing chemicals for Dallas County and the cities of Des Moines, West Des Moines, Waukee, Windsor Heights and Johnston. The agencies are estimating they each will use approximately 20,000, 60,000, 40,000, 25,000, 5,000 and 25,000 gallons, respectively. Bidders may elect to bid one or more of the listed products. It should be noted that these are the agencies best estimates on the amount of liquid deicer that they may use over the course of a normal winter. The agencies are not required to purchase the respective estimates. This agreement may be renewed for two additional 12 month terms by written mutual consent of both parties. There will be an opportunity for bidders to enter pricing for tanker load and less than tanker load (LTL) quantities. Bidders are not required to enter LTL quantities pricing, however some agencies may not have the capacity to unload full tanker loads of deicer products. The agencies understand that shipping in LTL quantities may increase the cost of shipping and want to secure bids based on both shipping methods.
