Consultant, with input from City staff, shall develop a 100-question written examination for sergeant and lieutenant classifications, to include a mix of multiple choice and true/false questions, based on the following: a) City of Cedar Rapids Personnel Policy b) Job Description, analyses and input from the group described in 3.1 c) Iowa Criminal Code d) Iowa Traffic Code e) Cedar Rapids Police Department Directives f) City ordinances g) Current bargaining agreement for Cedar Rapids Police Bargaining Unit 3.4 Consultant, with input from City staff, shall develop a set of oral interview questions for the sergeant rank based on contemporary City of Cedar Rapids/law enforcement issues and an Assessment Center where each candidate is evaluated based on how they perform hands-on tasks or role playing. The Civil Service Commission will develop its own oral interview separate from this testing process. 3.5 Consultant, with input from City staff, shall develop a set of oral interview questions for the lieutenant rank based on contemporary City of Cedar Rapids/law enforcement issues and an Assessment Center where each candidate is evaluated based on how they perform hands-on tasks or role playing and a situation based exercise derived from Cedar Rapids Police Department Directives, Polices or Practices.
