Caulking Specifications • Remove, clean, prime and caulk approximately 90 LF of expansion joint in the bottom and side walls of the swimming pool basin, outer rim of basin to gutter edge meeting deck using DECK-O-SEAL TwoPart, Elastomeric, Polysulfide-Based Joint Sealant or Vulkem 116 and 171, no substitutions. Install backer rod where needed. Expansion joint from the deck to the Gutter Edge is included and shall be replaced. • Contractor shall use only DECK-O-SEAL Two-Part, Elastomeric, Polysulfide-Based Joint Sealant or Vulkem 116 and 171, no substitutions. • Use white caulking to be done after painting is done as to not paint over fresh caulking. • Only expansion joints shall have the caulk replaced, not the sawcut (control) joints or the cracks. • Caulk in the pool basin and gutters include caulk-filled cracks as well as expansion joints. • Structural cracks when found need to be repaired and caulked as needed by the Contractor. • Contractor shall remove all gutter covers, clean, caulk and paint inside gutters. • Thoroughly clean all areas after work is completed. Painting Specifications • Prepare all surfaces according to the manufacturer’s specifications. • Contractor shall paint the entire pool assembly including any main drains, and gutter trenches, and gutter covers with white Ameron Americoat 400 Epoxy Coating or Tnemec Series 66, no substitutions.
