Specifications include, but are not limited to: Purpose – The State of Iowa is seeking a Contractor to provide on-call snow removal services on the Capitol Complex. Snow and ice removal service requirements include the following: 4.1.1.1 Snow removal and de-ice services for specified areas must be provided within two (2) hours upon request by the Facility Administrator or designee. 4.1.1.2 Contractor must clear all specified areas including outside steps, sidewalks, entryways, drives, parking lots and loading dock areas of snow. 4.1.1.3 All specified areas must be cleaned sufficiently of snow to prevent the formation of ice. 4.1.1.3.1 Sidewalks must be cleaned by approved plow, snow blower, hand shovel or rotary broom. 4.1.1.3.2 Steps must be hand shoveled unless specifically approved in writing by the Facility Administrator or Designee. 4.1.1.3.3 Vehicles will not be permitted on the sidewalks, unless specifically approved in writing by the Facility Administrator or Designee.
