Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1.1Purpose – The State of Iowa is seeking a Contractor to provide on-call snow removal services on the Capitol Complex. Snow and ice removal service requirements include the following:4.1.1.1Snow removal and de-ice services for specified areas must be provided within two(2) hours upon request by the Facility Administrator or designee.4.1.1.2Contractor must clear all specified areas including outside steps, sidewalks, entryways, drives, parking lots and loading dock areas of snow.4.1.1.3All specified areas must be cleaned sufficiently of snow to prevent the formation of ice.4.1.1.3.1Sidewalks must be cleaned by approved plow, snow blower, hand shovel or rotary broom.4.1.1.3.2Steps must be hand shoveled unless specifically approved in writing by the Facility Administrator or Designee.4.1.1.3.3Vehicles will not be permitted on the sidewalks, unless specifically approved in writing by the Facility Administrator or Designee.4.1.1.4Contractor will furnish all supervision, labor, materials, tools, etc. to clear snowand de-ice specified areas. 4.1.1.5Contractor must pile snow in areas designated by the Facility Administrator or Designee.4.1.1.6Snow must be removed from the parking lot up to the curb. Snow must be piled to allow room for future snow to be removed.4.1.2Service Inspection - All services will be inspected by the Facility Administrator or designee after completion. If the services are rejected because of deficiencies, Contractor will be responsible for:4.1.2.1Arrange to have the necessary work done or an approved schedule set within twenty four (24) hours (exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) after receipt of written notification.4.1.2.2Otherwise; Agency may make the necessary corrections at the Contractor's expense.4.1.3Qualifications/Standards – The Contractor shall perform work in accordance with the all relevant OSHA and Federal Laws and Regulations standards.4.1.4Licensing – The Contractor must have all required licenses, bonding, facilities, equipment, and trained personnel necessary to perform the requirements specified in this Bid. Bidder must be able to provide documentation upon request.
