Scope of Work 1.1 Upon request, Contractor shall pump untreated wastewater from the liquid storage tank located at the Water Pollution Control Facility (WPC), 7525 Bertram Rd. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA, and land apply the untreated contents to farm fields approved by WPC staff. 1.2 Work will be requested on an as-needed basis when WPC is experiencing high demand while processing is offline. The City does not anticipate Work to be needed more than one time per year. 1.3 Contractor is expected to respond, develop a plan, and start pumping liquid wastewater from the storage tank for land application within three (3) calendar days of notification by the City’s Project Manager. 1.4 The Contractor shall provide all equipment necessary to pump from the storage tank into their own trucks, haul to the approved application site, and perform proper land application of the untreated wastewater. 1.5 The Contractor shall have the equipment necessary to connect to the existing 6-inch male camlock fitting to pump from the storage tank. 1.6 Contractor shall pump approximately 1.1 million gallons of wastewater from the liquid storage tank and land apply contents to approved farm fields via injection. 1.7 All land applications shall meet the EPA’s Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter 40, 503 regulations. 1.8 Contractor is responsible for proper cleanup of all spills on WPC property or on or along roadways.
