Specifications include, but are not limited to: Abillity to be on-call and/or see employees within 24-hours of crisis incidents and to provide progressive care if needed. Abillity to perform mental fit-for duty examinations and assessments, as necessary for public safety personnel. Willingness to spend time in police and fire stations engaging with personnel. Provide mental-health education to personnel through in-service training at least twice per year. Lead crisis debriefing sessions when requested and be on-call. Perform Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) tests compliant with Iowa Law Enforcement Academy requirements, as necessary for public safety personnel. Willingness to provide personal mental health services processed through the City Health Plan available to full-time City employees; maintain in-network status with City’s Third Party Administrator. Abillity to provide both psychologist and psychiatrist with either an M.D. or D.O. Provide additional services as requested including specialized training and focused group counseling for special units as determined by the City.
