Specifications include, but are not limited to: Participate in all Cadre trainings (2-3 for the contract period).- Participate in interview groups as requested by the Site Team Leader.- Conduct a one-on-one meeting with the school district's Special Education Contact.- Assist the site visit team with document review.- Share district special education data with team members as the visit begins, noting any issues needing follow-up.- As schedule allows, participate in conversations with team members about what was heard during interviews.- Participate in building tours if available.- Participate in developing report statements and consensus building regarding site visit report statements.- Participate in delivering Site Visit Highlights with guidance from the site visit team leader.- Provide statements of strength and recommendation regarding special education issues for inclusion in the site visitreport, as appropriate.- Share all special education recommendation statements included in the report with the BSFSS Cadre contact.- Complete a Site Visit a Reflection Sheet regarding special education and related areas of concern for each visit andsend to the contract managerProposals will be evaluated and a recommendation will be made using the following criteria, which are listed in noparticular order:Hold a bachelor's degree (master's preferred)- Have five (5) or more years of experience delivering or supervising the delivery of special education services in Iowa- Have knowledge of special education laws and regulations (federal and Iowa) - Have the ability to travel within the state of Iowa - Possess strong verbal and written skills - Be able to work both independently and on a team- Previous experience representing special education interests on site visit teams
