Locate all private utilities, as required or necessary. 4. Obtain Union Pacific Railroad permit on behalf of ICN per the construction plans 5. Obtain Iowa Department of Transportation permit on behalf of ICN per the construction plans 6. Obtain Story County permit on behalf of ICN per the construction plans Duct Installation 1. Provide and place 2” HDPE, SDR 13.5 duct the entire length of project (12,382-ft±) (See CONSTRUCTION drawings) - ALL driveways, road crossings, and (1) railroad crossing to be directional bored per the construction drawings - ALL 2-IN HDPE SHALL BE COUPLED TO ALLOW CONTINUOUS PULLING OF FIBER FROM EACH HANDHOLE - ALL DUCT SPLICES SHALL BE AIR AND WATER TIGHT AND BE SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR JOINING HDPE CONDUIT 2. It shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor to ensure that the fiber installation is in the public Right-of-Way 3. See engineering plans for locations and distances off existing public ROW when provided. 4. Ensure that a pull rope (Mule Tape) is left in all duct. Handholes: 1. Provide and place (5) 24x36x30 tier 15 handholes with lid per the construction drawings and per the ICN Standard Practice/Typical Drawings Fiber Installation 1. Provide and pull (1) armored OSP rated 12-strand single mode fiber entire length of project (13,308-ft±) (See CONSTRUCTION drawing) 2. Coil excess cable nice and evenly in each handhole ensuring no less than 50-ft in each handhole. - Leave 75-ft or more at each splice location for splice tails
