Specifications include, but are not limited to: Scope of Work 4.0.1 Contractor shall provide and deliver one (1) 20'w x 36'l steel framed pavilion to: Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department, 2550 Ellis Boulevard NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405. 4.0.2 Contractor shall provide all pieces, parts, equipment, etc. necessary for a complete pavilion. 4.0.3 City staff will assemble and install the pavilion in Huntington Ridge Park. 4.1 Specifications 4.1.1 Size: 20' wide x 36' long 4.1.2 Style: Open gable end style roof 4.1.3 Square or rectangular tubular steel frame (columns and roof beams) conforming to ASTM A500, with a powdercoat finish. Contractor shall provide column size and spacing on sides and ends on the Bid Submittal Form, Page 13. 4.1.4 Pavilion plans shall be signed by an engineer licensed in the State of Iowa and shall be able to withstand a minimum 30lbs. per square foot snow load and 90 mph minimum wind speeds. 4.1.5 Roof shall consist of tongue and groove southern yellow pine decking (nominal 2-inch thickness) and pre-cut and painted ribbed metal roofing (minimum 24 ga. Steel). 4.1.6 Pressure treated wood or metal fascia. 4.1.7 Provide product literature and available color selections with bid. 4.1.8 Provide warranty information with bid. 4.1.9 Provided anchor bolts and typical footing detail for shelter upon award of bid. 4.1.10 Provide assembly drawings and instructions for installation upon award. 4.2 Silence of Specifications Commercially accepted practices shall apply to any detail not covered in this specification and to any omission of this specification. Any omission or question of interpretation of the specification that affects the performance or integrity of the service being offered shall be addressed in writing and submitted with the Bid. 4.3 Surcharges (i.e. fuel surcharges, restocking) shall NOT be allowed to be added to invoices as an additional line item. 4.4 The Bidder shall clearly state in the submitted bid any exceptions to, or deviations from, the minimum bid requirements, and any exceptions to the terms and conditions of this Request for Bid. Such exceptions or deviations will be considered in evaluating the bids. Companies are cautioned that exceptions taken to this Request for Bid may cause their bid to be rejected. 4.5 For purposes of this quote and subsequent awards, City holiday closures are typically New Year's Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day following, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Deliveries generally will not be accepted on those dates. The delivery time or completion date, as stated in the Bid Form, shall be the time required to deliver the complete item(s) after the receipt of the order or award of the Contract.
