Paint which runs in to the ground and root system is not acceptable Paint should have a drying time of approximately 30 minutes Paint is cleaned from equipment, clothing, etc. by the use of warm soapy water. Paint thinners, alcohol and petroleum products required for cleanup are not acceptable. ISU currently uses a Graco gas powered airless painter for painting the field. Painting usually occurs in the 850 psi range, but weather factors or job requirements may prompt a change in pressure or spray tips. At times, the paint is diluted 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 or up to 4:1. The paint samples received for this bid will be tested at 1:1 and 3:1. Suppliers are required to provide information on the paint(s) they are proposing including an MSDS, paint composition, formulation information and other paint information as requested. Technical sheets are desired, but not required.
