The Department of Veterans Affairs, Endocrinology Department at the Iowa City Veterans Affairs Medical Center requires an equipment of a brand name or equal system to Leica DM6 B fully automated upright microscope to support laboratory research. This will not be connected to VA network.

VA requires the Leica DM6 B fully automated upright microscope (or equal) to have the following salient characteristics to be technically acceptable:

Description & Salient Characteristics:
Fully automated upright microscope with constant color temperature and fully automated transmitted light- and fluorescence axis, motorized Z-focus and nosepiece. Automatically sets the optimal settings for best image quality. The automated condenser head ensures more convenient and faster work. Changing contrast methods by a touch of a button. All automated microscope functions can be controlled via the touchscreen. Programmable function keys allow customized and ergonomically operation of the microscope.
