Leveling & Repairs: Level all substrate irregularities greater than 1/8 inch in 10 feet using a Portland cement-based patching compound. Allow sufficient curing time before installation. Temperature & Humidity Conditions: Maintain ambient and substrate temperature between 65°F and 85°F, with relative humidity between 35% and 55%, for at least 48 hours before, during, and after installation. Application Instructions Adhesive Application: Use Shaw LOKWORX® 4200 Resilient Adhesive applied with a fine notched trowel (1/16” x 1/32” x 1/32” U-notch). Spread adhesive evenly; do not puddle. Allow adhesive to become tacky per manufacturer’s open time (typically 20–30 minutes depending on temperature and humidity). Do not install flooring into wet adhesive. Tile Installation: Lay tiles in the direction specified by the project lead or plans. Maintain tight joints and ensure alignment across the area. Roll the flooring immediately with a 100-lb. roller in both directions to ensure bond. Spread Rates: Approximate spread rate: 220–260 sq. ft. per gallon (depending on substrate porosity and trowel condition). Cure & Traffic Conditions: Light traffic allowed after 12 hours. Full cure achieved within 24–48 hours. Do not wash or wet clean flooring for at least 5 days after installation.
