This project will provide bank stabilization at the following location: 1. Days Run Open Space behind 12303, 12304 and 12307 Twana Drive. The project limits should be examined and locations with erosion or high potential for future erosion should have solutions developed to stabilize this location and protect the existing trail. In particular, high rainfall in 2025 led to increased channel degradation in the last twelve months in this area; the Consultant should consider in their proposal if additional site visits or survey after spring rains is necessary. The proposed designs should consider the costs of any permitting impacts to adjacent channels and wetlands in addition to the long-term stability of the creek banks. The primary goal of the project is stabilization of the area utilizing the Iowa River Restoration Toolbox methods. The creek is in a surface water flowage easement behind 12303 and 12304 Twana Drive.
