Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, tools, test weights, equipment, transportation, insurance, permits, licenses, and any other resources necessary to complete the following tasks: 1. Inspection Services • Conduct thorough annual inspections of all overhead cranes and hoists at each designated location in accordance with: o OSHA 29 CFR 1910.179 (Overhead and Gantry Cranes) o ANSI/ASME B30 standards o Manufacturer recommendations • Inspections must include (but are not limited to): o Structural integrity o Hooks and latches o Wire ropes and chains o Load brakes o Limit switches o Control systems o Labels, decals, and safety markings o General condition and cleanliness 2. Load Testing • Perform load tests as required by OSHA and ANSI standards: o Initial load testing (if newly installed or repaired) o Periodic load testing if specified by equipment type or state policy • Provide calibrated test weights and documentation of calibration. 3. Documentation and Reporting • Provide detailed inspection reports for each crane/hoist, to include: o Equipment identification o Date of inspection o Inspection findings o Test results o Corrective action recommendations o Inspector’s name and certification • Deliver reports within fourteen (14) business days of inspection date.
