Specifications include, but are not limited to: The service provider will be responsible for mowing and trimming the entire parcel up to the roadway, fence lines, trees, bushes, utility poles, electrical transformers, and communication pedestals, and city or privately owned infrastructure. The work must be conducted in accordance with the following requirements: o Notification and Mapping: Current mapping with parcel boundaries is included in Appendix A. Areas Highlighted in red and green indicate the locations to be mowed and trimmed. o Marion Public Works may create an addendum to add new parcels to the current contract upon acceptance. The cost per acre will follow current years pricing per this RFB. o Updated mapping and parcel boundaries will be furnished to the service provider as additional parcels are identified. • Standard wet/dry detention basins, drainageways, and ditches: o Mowing / Trimming of vegetation o Entire parcel will be mowed and trimmed once every two weeks from the months of April through June, and once per month from July through October. Mowing will not be performed in the months of January, February, March, November, or December unless abnormal weather leads to significant turf growth. o Mowing height will be set to three inches. o Perpetually wet areas will not be mowed unless it is possible to mow these areas without creating ruts in the turf. o An unmowed buffer of up to five feet in width may be maintained around wet detention basins. o String trimming shall include but are not limited to curbs, fence lines, trees/ bushes, signpost, utility poles, electrical transformers/ pedestals, communication pedestals, underground vaults, intake/ outflow structures, manhole covers, fire hydrants, water valves, and out flow structures that are utilizing rock to prevent erosion. o Temporary parking of vehicles and trailers transporting equipment to the specified locations shall be allowed on residential classified roadways only. Parking will not be permitted on any arterial classified roadways. o Trash will be collected and properly disposed of by the service provider.
