The DOT is listing five (5) towers to be removed prior to the end of this fiscal year, June 30, 2026. Contractor Responsibilities; Removal of antennas, antenna mounts, and cabling is not a requirement by the DOT but at the Contractor’s discretion. Tower removal may be completed in single sections or multiple sections but must be broken into single twenty-foot sections after tower is on the ground. The contractor must remove the tower with the assistance of a crane. The contractor is responsible for costs for crane rental or third-party contractors. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all permits from State, County or City. The contractor is responsible to restore any disturbance of sod, soil, gravel, driveway or building structure to original condition. Any cost for restoration is the responsibility of the contractor.
