All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: T Provide all labor and equipment necessary to perform the duties as outlined in the Scope of Work and appendices. DOT requires continuous service coverage for our Driver’s License Stations. The Contractor is required to provide the name of at least three (3) Contractor employees that will serve as a backup to the scheduled Contractors cleaning staff for unscheduled or extended absences. All back up Contractors’ employees will be required to pass the background check process. Other services or additional cleaning may be added to upon mutual agreement between the Contractor and the Iowa DOT. There is approximately 5,480 square foot in building. There is 3,840 square feet of carpeted area and 733 square feet of hard surface area. The Iowa DOT will provide paper products for towel dispensers, hand soap, toilet tissue and trash can liners. DOT paper towels should not be used as cleaning supplies. The Contractor is responsible for supplying all other cleaning supplies, materials and equipment. The DOT has cleaning supplies and equipment on site for DOT use only. The Iowa DOT requires a three week advance notice of supplies in need of replenishment. Please email to the DL stations project manager. The work performed shall be of high quality keeping the aesthetic appearance of the buildings clean and neat as specified. The successful Contractor shall be responsible for cleaning services as outlined in Appendix A. Minimal space will be provided to allow janitorial products to be stored on-site. Cleaning supplies stored on site require an ‘SDS’ Safety Data Sheet. In the event the Contracted Contractor is unable to fulfill cleaning requirements on a specified day. The Contractor is to notify the DL station project manager by phone or email within two business hours of the station opening. The DOT will not pay for days of cleaning that are missed and not remedied within 24 hours.
