The University of Northern Iowa (UNI) seeks to contract with a vendor to provide custom design and development for two websites, CEESTEM (The Center for Early Education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and R&P (Ramps and Pathways. These two individual websites will have nearly identical user interfaces. The websites will reside on a University server. The successful vendor will meet the specific requirements of the scope of work and will recommend additional innovative solutions consistent with University goals. Key areas of focus for these websites include design, navigation and functionality, using Drupal as the content management platform. The project will be completed in 2 phases, phase 1 due on September 30 th and phase 2 due on December 31st 3.2 Primary Goals of the Website 3.2.1 Provide early childhood stakeholders a place to learn about R&P (Phase 1) completion date September 30, 2011. 3.2.1.1 Implement embedded streaming H.264 mp4 video using video hosted from UNI’s Helix Universal Server. The video will need to play on all major browsers and mobile computing devices. The posted videos will need to be accessed through search and a view with exposed filters. 3.2.1.2 Provide a module that can be used to sell Ramps and Pathways related products. 3.2.1.3 Develop a content type and any accompanying views that can be used to house content about the Ramps and Pathways Materials 3.2.1.4 Develop a content type and any accompanying views that can be used to post articles and other written materials 3.2.1.5 Develop a content type and any accompanying views for featuring guest teachers. This module will have written content, photos, and video. 3.2.2 Provide early childhood stakeholders a place to learn about CEESTEM (Phase 2) completion date January 30, 2012. 3.2.2.1 Develop a content type and any accompanying views for downloading Early Childhood Math Games. This must include a dropdown search function that can conduct searches using a variety of terms. 3.2.2.2 Develop a content type and any accompanying views for downloading cooking recipes. This must include a dropdown search function that can conduct searches using a variety of terms. 3.2.2.3 Develop a content type and any accompanying views for detailed information about CEESTEM workshops that will include a calendar of upcoming workshops. 3.2.2.4 Provide a clearinghouse module that will be used to rate various early childhood curricula. 3.2.2.5 Provide a social networking module where CEESTEM stakeholders can share with one another. 3.2.2.6 Provide a social networking module where CEESTEM workshop presenters can sign up for presentations, share photos, share video, and email one another. 13 3.2.2.7 Develop an area of the website that will contain information about the CEESTEM SEED conference. 3.2.2.8 Develop a content type and any accompanying views that will be used for breaking news within the CEESTEM community using a RSS feed.
