Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Sign Specifications (a) The sign is two-sided with individual advertising areas facing East and West. (b) Each advertising area is 12’ x 24’. The awarded Contractor will be responsible for field verifying this measurement prior to any production occurring. (c) Each advertising area consists of sheets of plywood bolted or screwed onto poles which are anchored into the ground. The current advertising is 12’ x 24’ Duraflex vinyl. (d) Banner material is stalled on Keder system along top and rod pocket along the bottom. (e) The sign has lighting on both sides and is functional. (f) Contractor will be expected to repair any damaged panels and install new panels. 2.2 Advertisement Specifications (a) Materials as proposed by Company and appropriate for the timeframe they will be installed and weather conditions over that timeframe. (b) Materials will preferably work with existing sign structures and they must be capable of withstanding the weather conditions as encountered in Ames, IA for the entire time advertisements are installed. (c) Advertisements will normally consist of three to four (3-4) colors, possible more or less. (d) Artwork for advertisements will be provided by the Office of University Marketing, its contracted graphic design vendor or contracted advertising vendor. 2.3 Responsibilities of Contractor (a) Contractor is responsible for production and installation of advertisement materials as requested by ISU. (b) Maximum production schedule will be no longer than fifteen (15) business days after artwork is submitted by ISU. Proofing and final art approval is part of the twenty (20) day schedule.
