Specifications include, but are not limited to: The following specifications apply to the purchase of tandem axle, anti-ice trailers capable of carrying approximately 2600 gallons of salt brine and tandem axle anti-ice trailers capable of carrying approximately 1800 gallons of salt brine, by the Iowa DOT. Except as outlined in this specification, trailers must be complete and ready for service on delivery. These anti-ice trailer systems will be used to apply salt brine solution to road surfaces before and during winter snow events. UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. MANUFACTURER’S DATA PLATE A. A permanent and indelible data plate or decal must be supplied and attached to one of the trailer tongue rails. The following data must be engraved into it: a. Manufacturer (Company Name and Address) b. Model Number (Exact Model Designation) c. GVWR Rating (Gross Vehicle Weight Restriction)
