Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Bettendorf, Iowa, is currently requesting proposals from qualified Contractors to provide landscape maintenance services in and around City Parks, City right-of-ways, and facilities ; • The Contractor shall visit each landscape bed with the Parks Maintenance Supervisor prior to commencing work. • At the direction of the Parks Maintenance Supervisor, the Contractor may be required to remove some of the existing mulch/ dirt in areas adjacent to paved surfaces to prevent material from falling on the pavement. • Trimming back of old growth of perennials (grasses and dormant pruning of deciduous plants in spring) • Fertilization as required • Watering as dictated by weather and species • Weeding of all beds as needed before, during, and after the growing season (if sprayed, old weeds must be pulled). Pre-emergent three (3) times per season • Edging of bed areas as needed, at least once per season • Application of pest and disease control as needed • Trimming of shrubs as needed, at least two (2) times per season
