Specifications include, but are not limited to: The proposed project will modernize the Traffic Signalization Systems throughout the City of Anderson by (1) replacing the existing technologies (software, wiring, transmitters, hardware, operations) for the Traffic Signal Controlling/Coordination System, which will include a priority control system for emergency vehicles at all signalized intersections and the ability to extract traffic volume data for use with travel demand forecasting; (2) providing planning, training, software, and equipment for integrated inter-operable emergency communications, specific to facilitate the priority control system for emergency vehicles; (3) provide upgrades to LED Lighting on all Traffic Signals and Pedestrian Crosswalk Signals; (4) upgrade/install pedestrian push button and countdown heads on select public road approach traffic signals; (5) replace signal heads on all signalized intersections; (6) install black/yellow backing plates on all signal heads on a public road approach traffic signals; and (7) make changes to yellow interval signal timing or interconnect to improve safety on all public road approaches.
