As part of Phase one, the selected firm will perform Engineering Assessment Services along I80 from Illinois State Line to 1.3 miles west of I-65 and will issue a final full Engineers Report at the conclusion of phase 1.Items expected to occur during this phase include survey, geotechnical, hydraulics and drainage assessments along the corridor, pavement design, early environmental work including the waters report, title research, coordination meetings with INDOT, FHWA, Illinois DOT and local entities as needed, estimations of all costs to build the project/s (e.g. construction, land acquisition, design & development, utilities, and environmental mitigation). At the conclusion of phase one, INDOT will determine final funding and will proceed with all or part of the recommended alternatives. Additionally the project may, at this time, be screened for alternative delivery. Phase two of the project will consist of all Road and Bridge Design Services, including Maintenance of Traffic, needed for the proposed project/s determined in phase one. Environmental Document preparations, Permits, Right of way Plan Development, Utility Coordination, Railroad Coordination, IHCP, Traffic Management Plan preparation, and Construction Phase Services. Additional coordination with INDOT, FHWA, Illinois DOT and local entities. Additional public outreach and marketing services may be required. . Additional services may also be required, such as, Wetland Mitigation, Archaeological Investigations Historical/Architectural Investigations.
