25.1. The Contractor shall provide to the City vehicle tire repair or replacement services for all applicable vehicles and equipment in the City fleet. This service will be provided as requested by the City. Service shall be available on a twenty-four (24) hour a day basis, including weekends and holidays. The majority of service runs will be within Marion County. However, on rare occasions, there may be service runs that extend into the contiguous counties. Contractor shall provide labor, parts, and materials for all authorized repairs and replacement tires (except where City provided tires are used). 25.2. When notified by the City, the Contractor will be required to dispatch a service vehicle to any service location. Multiple dispatches may be required to various locations. The Contractor will be required to repair and/or replace tires on location. The Contractor service trucks must be equipped to properly service all City vehicles. Contractor shall furnish a minimum of five (5) vehicles to service locations. The City will provide the Contractor with a number of mounted tires and wheels for this service. The Contractor must account for each tire and wheel furnished to them and must return to the City, upon demand, any inventory provided as well as all used tires replaced. The Contractor will be required to furnish a correct and complete inventory of all items on a monthly basis to the Parts Operation Manager at the City’s Riverside location. Such report may be transferred preferably electronically in a PDF or Microsoft Office format or by fax to (317) 327-2755. To prevent excessive downtime of heavy trucks, Contractor must stock tires and quantities listed below, as a minimum.
