18.1. Contractor will provide State Certified Police Officers to function as Armed Security Officers for the hours and days listed below and requested by Marion County. 18.2. The armed security officers will patrol the building's interior and exterior perimeters at various times and provide a physical presence inside and outside the facility throughout each shift. 18.3. The armed security officers will conduct regular security checks and patrols of the building to assist in identifying and addressing any observed security threats while on duty. 18.4. The armed security officers will check and monitor building entrants for proper security credentials and ensure only authorized people enter secured portions of the building. 18.5. The armed security officers will assist in responding to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms inside and outside the building, when practical. 18.6. The armed security officers will communicate any incidents or alarms to designated County management staff in a timely manner, and at their own professional discretion, elevate incidents to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD). 18.7. Armed Security Officers will wear a uniform to identify their function. 18.8. Contractor will prepare a report in the event of a concern or occurrence of an incident.
