DESCRIPTION
The Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI) is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources having an interest to provide Rigging Services at Crane Army Ammunition Activity, Crane, Indiana.
The result of this market research will contribute to determining this method of procurement, if a requirement materializes. Based on the response to this sources sought notice/ market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition. Multiple awards may be made. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding submissions.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Contractor shall provide all necessary rigging equipment to safely and efficiently relocate, demo, and installl machinery and machinery support equipment. This includes, but is not limited to conveyors, extruders, mixers, ovens, tables, drilling machines, spray booths, presses, compressors, and other common manufacturing machines and other specialized equipment. In addition, lifting equipment with a capacity ranging from a minimum of 4,000-pound (4K) forklift up to and including a crane capable of lifting 50,000 pounds (50K). All equipment must be in good working condition, properly maintained, and compliant with applicable OSHA standards and manufacturer specifications. Equipment shall be operated by qualified personnel with appropriate certifications and experience.
Contractor acknowledges that work may be performed in various buildings and environments, including but not limited to warehouses, manufacturing facilities, commercial structures, and outdoor job sites. Contractor shall ensure that all equipment and operations are suitable for the specific conditions of each location, including limited access areas, uneven surfaces, variable weather, and other site-specific challenges. All work shall be conducted in a manner that prioritizes safety, minimizes disruption, and complies with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
