Evansville State Hospital (ESH) Grounds Maintenance Services 1. Mowing: Provide mowing services for the grounds of ESH. The designated grounds, totaling 2,436,644 square feet of turf, shall be maintained with regular mowing 34 times per season. Mowing will occur approximately once per week, with scheduling adjustments as necessary based on weather conditions. Maintenance is required March through November, with mowing paused December through February. 2. Pre-mowing Cleanup: All trash and debris must be collected and removed before mowing. 3. Curb Maintenance: The curb edge of Lincoln Avenue must be stick-edged every other week. 4. Equipment Safety: Mowing equipment must have rollover protection engaged when operating on slopes. 5. Mowing Safety: To ensure worker safety and reduce risk, mowing around or near the lake must include a minimum of three passes by stand-on mowers. 6. Tree Maintenance: All trees must be trimmed and maintained to ensure a neat and well-kept appearance. 7. Tree Limb Disposal: All limbs greater than one inch in diameter must be moved to the edge of the road for removal. 8. Debris Removal: All hard surfaces, including sidewalks, roadways, and parking lots, must be blown clear of all debris. 9. Lake Edge Maintenance: All maintained turf areas bordering a lake must have their edges cut back to the waterline monthly using a weed eater or another environmentally friendly method. This must occur eight times per season from April through November. 10.Lake Bank Clearing: Banks of all three lakes must be cleared of debris every other month, totaling four times per season. 11.Landscaping: The South visitor entrance and North employee entrance must be cleared of all debris, weeds removed and mulched as needed. The designated grounds, totaling 525,894 square feet of turf, shall be mowed 30 times per season, approximately once per week, with scheduling adjustments based on weather conditions. Maintenance is required March through November, with mowing paused December through February. 2. Pre-mowing Cleanup: All trash and debris must be collected and removed before mowing. 3. Curb Maintenance: The curb edge of Morgan Avenue must be stick-edged every other week. 4. Equipment Safety: Mowing equipment must have rollover protection engaged when operating on slopes. 5. Tree Maintenance: All trees on campus must be regularly trimmed at the base and maintained to ensure a neat and well-kept appearance. 6. Shrub Trimming: All shrubs on campus must be trimmed twice per year, specifically in May and October, with all trimming debris removed and disposed of. 8. Stump Grinding: All stumps must be ground down, with excess grindings removed. Tree removals must be carried out from December through March. 4. Proposal Details: The proposal includes all labor, materials, and disposal costs. 5. Payment Terms: Payment is due upon completion of services. Storm Damage Cleanup 1. Debris Removal: Downed trees, branches, hanging branches, and stumps must be removed and disposed of. The contractor has 30 days from the storm event to complete the cleanup. (Price per truckload)
