1.01 HVAC, Mechanical, Steam, Chilled Water and Plumbing Systems: All HVAC, Mechanical, Steam, Chilled Water and Plumbing system installation, repair and maintenance will be performed in accordance with ASME standards current to the release of this document. Equipment Manufacturer standards shall apply as well. Equipment testing shall be performed in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) Part 2, Section 2.5.8 provides recommended inspection and test frequencies for pressure relief devices. All duct work and system repair and maintenance work will be performed in accordance with SMACA standards current to the release of this document. All plumbing system installation, repair and maintenance work will be performed in accordance with NSPC standards current to the release of this document. HVAC systems in archives are crucial for preserving documents and artifacts by controlling temperature, humidity, and air quality. The New Archive building and Library will require support for these systems. 1.02 Insulation: All insulation installation, repair and maintenance work will be performed in accordance with ASHRAE standards current to the release of this document. 1.03 Fire Alarm and Suppression Systems: All fire alarm and suppression system installation, repair and maintenance work will be performed in accordance with NFPA standards current to the release of this document. This work shall be done after normal business hours if required. Recommended inspection and test frequencies can be found in the National Fire Protection Association edition 25 & 27. Inspect and maintain all portable fire extinguishers per NFPA 10, latest edition chapters 4 & 5. Issue written report of findings to Owner. Any systems software or hardware updates available or required are to be brought to the owner's attention. 1.04 Emergency Generators and Transfer Switches: Maintenance and service of all emergency generators shall be included. This includes monthly no-load running, annual load testing and annual transfer switch testing. 1.05 Electrical Systems: All electrical installation, repair and maintenance work will be performed in accordance with NFPA/NEC standards current to the release of this document. High voltage power transformers, distribution and breaker panels are excluded from this scope of work.
