Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation (IPTC) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to retain environmental consulting services from a qualified consultant to continue and enhance the current Environmental Management System (EMS). The objective of the solicitation is to enable IPTC to procure Environmental Management System consulting services for their West Washington Street, Julia Carson Transit Center (CTC), and any other site that may come in the future. The Consultant shall work to continually improve the existing EMS for the sites in accordance with the statement of work outlined herein. 1. Operational Review - The Consultant will conduct a review of the IndyGo sites to establish its operations and current position with regard to environmental management. The goal of the review will be to identify Environmental and Safety aspects of operations at the sites as a basis for establishing an EMS. The tools and methods for conducting the review will be at the discretion of the Consultant. Travel time to the locations will not be covered at time and or expense. Other times will be assessed at time and expenses as needed. The following elements should be considered: 2. Identification of environmental aspects, including those associated with normal operating conditions, abnormal conditions such as start-up, shut-down, emergency situations and accidents, 3. Identification of applicable legal requirements related to environmental conditions. 4. Examination of existing environmental management practices and procedures, including those related to procurement and contracting activities.
