1. Selected contractors must maintain twenty-four (24) hour spill response services to expeditiously clean up spills to roadways, to minimize slick and hazardous conditions, and stabilize and/or contain contaminants that have left the roadway to minimize contaminant spread and threats to surface waters. This program is not intended to address spills that pose an acute exposure threat to human health or the environment. Acutely hazardous spills or spills that fall outside the scope of this program will be addressed by first responders and if the State must act such actions will be through IDEM’s emergency procurement procedures. yes no 2. The selected spill contractor will be expected to maintain communication and provide updates to INDOT, IDEM, and onsite incident command while both mobilizing and conducting cleanup activities. yes no 3. Following the cleanup and within twelve (12) hours of conclusion of onsite response activities, the selected spill contractor must provide an email summary of response actions completed and a description of the scope of work required to address impacts extending beyond roadway.
