1. Consultant and Staff Review of Current MTP: The consultant and staff will meet to review the existing CAMPO 2045 MTP (2021, columbus.in.gov/planning/mtp/) to assess previous approaches and concepts, and develop a strategy for the plan update. 2. Travel Demand Model Update: CAMPO’s Travel Demand Model (TDM) was recently updated to be compatible with TransCAD version 9. The TDM base year was also updated to 2020 as the Census 2020 data was available for use. As part of the MTP update, the TDM will need to be updated with a forecast year of 2050. The Planning Department and MTP Steering Committee will help provide guidance on future projections within the region. The model area encompasses Bartholomew County, as well portions of Johnson County and Shelby County around Edinburgh. The TDM will be updated in regards to socioeconomic characteristics, transportation facilities, transportation data and other information currently in the TDM, and will include calibration and validation.
