This project includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: pavement removal; preparation of base; water main replacement and related appurtenances via open-cut methods; water service lines; storm sewer improvements and spot repairs; curb and gutter, and sidewalk removal and replacement at various locations; hot-mix asphalt binder and surface course(s); parkway restoration; and other appurtenant work for a total distance of 1.13 miles on Belmar Lane, Belmar Court, Ridgefield Lane, Indian Spring Lane and Dunham Lane in the Village of Buffalo Grove.
State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Contractor Pre-Qualification and Subcontractor Pre-Qualification/Registration is required.
Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of FIVE (5) percent of the total bid amount made payable to the Village of Buffalo Grove shall accompany the bid.
This work is subject to the wage provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. 820 ILCS 130/0/01 et seq. and the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act. 820 ILCS 265/1 et seq relative to prevailing wages of laborers, mechanics, and other workers employed in any Public Works as amended by Public Acts 86799 and 86693.
The Village of Buffalo Grove reserves the right to reject any and all bids and bidders and to waive all technicalities. All bid proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days. The Village reserves the right to award to any bidder based on negotiation with any and all bidders after receipt of bids.
