The Contractor shall provide the required number of fully covered and partially covered, thirty-four (34) cubic-yard minimum capacity dump trucks throughout the entire loading period for transporting biosolids and other materials from various sites to specified unloading sites called for by the Engineer and completing the required number of tonmiles. The Contractor shall have a minimum of eighteen (18) trucks for Group A and a minimum of thirteen (13) trucks for Group B available for work during the peak operating season, from May 1st thru November 1st, when so directed by the Engineer. Failure to provide the required number of trucks for the specified period of loading or complete the required number of ton-miles will result in assessment of liquidated damages as specified in the Agreement. The Contractor is advised that the bid rate for Items 2A is primarily for transporting partially dewatered lagoon biosolids and centrifuge cake from the Lawndale Lagoons to the LASMA Dewatering Cells and to the Marathon Site. The bid rate for Items 3A is primarily for transporting partially dewatered Lagoon Biosolids and Centrifuge Cake from the Lawndale Lagoons to the Vulcan and Harlem Drying Sites and transporting pre-dry biosolids from LASMA to CALSMA.
