Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Prepare preliminary plans that embody the values of the community, needs of the department, and stays within budget. B. Preparing plans and specifications to replace the existing Ravinia fire station #32, based on Engineers’ findings (A. above). To include at minimum: a. Two apparatus bays double-deep that can accommodate, at minimum, a fire engine, ambulance, and rescue squad. b. Provide a magnetic exhaust system with tailpipe adaptors to remove products of combustion from the tailpipes of fire apparatus. c. Provide a class room with an occupancy of 15 personnel. d. Provide rooms for turn-out gear storage, medical supplies, and spare fire hose storage. e. Provide a work room/utility room for servicing tools, gear, and small engines etc… f. Provide a work-out facility to accommodate existing work-out equipment g. Replace and/or reuse current “Westnet”station alerting system to have same capabilities as the other two fire stations. h. Provide living quarters to include day room, bunk room, locker room, and kitchen to accommodate 6 (six) firefighters. C. Prepare documents for the following services: Engineering, Architectural, and General Contracting. D. Attending commission meetings for site and plan approvals E. Prepare documents to secure all necessary permits.
