Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1: Research and Due Diligence Project team to begin assembling information, which may include: Coordinate with City Staff to acquire information regarding: oPublic Right of Way limits oPublic Utility Locations (Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer, Water Main) oPrivate Utility Locations (Gas, Electric, Fiber Optic) oAccident Report History Analyze existing intersections (speed limit, lane configurations, intersection geometrics, and other appropriate data) and identify safety hazards Conduct Traffic and Pedestrian Counts Determine peak hour times Task 2: Preferred Direction Development (Draft 1) Develop the preferred direction as the foundation for the draft plan. Present at least two conceptual drawings (based on the findings from Task 1) for City staff to review and discuss. The City is open to the possibility of installing a roundabout, assuming the research performed during Task 1 shows that it would be an appropriate choice for this location. Other designs may include but are not limited to the reconfiguration, relocation, or elimination of one or both of the existing intersections. Provide recommendations for speed limit, lane configuration, intersection geometrics, and other appropriate data Revise conceptual drawings to reflect City staff comments. Present conceptual drawings at a City Council meeting to determine the preferred design direction
