Specifications include, but are not limited to: annual removal and disposal of approximately 1,100 dry tons of dried aerobically and anaerobically digested bio-solids from the City of Crystal Lake’s Wastewater Treatment Plants #2 and #3. Bio-solids from the facilities meet USPEA 503 Class “B” standards. The removal and Land Application Disposal of bio-solids stored at Wastewater Treatment Plant #2 will be conducted typically two times per year under this contract. The removal and Land Application Disposal of bio-solids stored at Wastewater Treatment Plant #3 will be conducted typically one time per year under this contract. At the City’s discretion, the removal and Landfill Disposal of bio-solids stored at Wastewater Treatment Plant #2 will be conducted typically two times per year under this contract. Equipment (Trucking & Loader) & Labor Costs Only. (900 wet tons trucked to Waste Management - DeKalb County Landfill - 18370 Somonauk Rd, DeKalb, IL 60115) The City has a contracted agreement with Waste Management to waive all tipping fees for 900 wet tons on an annual basis. All phases of this project shall be conducted in strict compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and in accordance with all other City specifications and IEPA Permit requirements.
